Mtickets Kenya Limited – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Mtickets — your trusted digital platform for purchasing and managing tickets across events, transport, and entertainment in Kenya. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

"Mtickets", "we", "our", "us": Refers to Mtickets Kenya Limited.

"User", "you", "your": Any individual or organization using our platform to purchase, manage, or resell tickets.

"Partner" or "Organizer": Event promoters, transport operators, cinemas, or sports organizers listing tickets on the platform.

2. Ticketing Categories

Mtickets facilitates ticketing and booking services across:

  1. Events & Concerts – Festivals, concerts, expos, and nightlife
  2. Bus Travel – Intercity and long-distance transportation
  3. Airline Tickets – Domestic and international flights (via partnered agents)
  4. Cinema & Movies – Film screenings and premieres
  5. Sports Tickets – Football matches, tournaments, and sports event

Users may be required to:

  1. Register with a valid phone number or email
  2. Maintain accurate personal details
  3. Keep login credentials confidential
  4. Users are fully responsible for activity under their account.

4. Ticket Purchase & Delivery

  1. Tickets are available for purchase via MPESA, debit/credit card, and other listed payment options.
  2. Upon successful payment, tickets are delivered via SMS, email, or available in-app.
  3. Ensure all event or travel details are correct before checkout — we are not liable for errors caused by incorrect user input.

5. Resale & Re-share Policy

  1. Mtickets supports secure ticket resale and transfer, with the following conditions:
  2. Only tickets bought on Mtickets are eligible for resale or transfer via our platform.
  3. Resale is only permitted through Mtickets' official resale feature — third-party resale or outside transfer is strictly prohibited.
  4. Re-sharing (transfer to another user) is supported where permitted by the event organizer or travel provider.
  5. A small service fee may apply for reselling or transferring a ticket.

Mtickets verifies the authenticity of every reissued ticket to avoid fraud or duplication.

6. Ticket Validity & Use

  1. Tickets are valid only if issued or transferred through Mtickets.
  2. Entry may require a valid ID, QR code, or booking reference.
  3. Misuse, duplication, or unauthorized resale will result in ticket cancellation.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds are subject to category-specific terms:

  1. Events & Sports:
  2. Refunds only for cancelled/postponed events as approved by the organizer
  3. No refunds for missed attendance or scheduling conflicts

Bus & Airline Tickets:

  1. Changes or cancellations are subject to operator or airline policy
  2. Some fares may attract change fees or be non-refundable

    3. Movie Tickets:

  1. Non-refundable unless the cinema cancels the screening
  2. Note: Mtickets’ service and processing fees are non-refundable.

8. Disruption & Force Majeure

Mtickets is not liable for:

  1. Event or travel disruption caused by weather, government action, or unforeseen events
  2. Acts beyond our control affecting service delivery

9. User Conduct

By using Mtickets, you agree to:

  1. Use the platform for lawful purposes only
  2. Not misuse the platform for fraudulent or commercial resale outside our system
  3. Abide by venue or organizer rules for any ticketed experience

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

11. Payments

All payments are securely processed through licensed providers

Mtickets does not store sensitive payment information such as PINs or CVVs

12. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and technology used on the platform belong to Mtickets or are licensed for use. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

13. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be handled through:

  1. Direct communication with Mtickets Customer Support
  2. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods if necessary
  3. Legal resolution through the courts of Kenya, with Nairobi as the jurisdiction

14. Modifications to Terms

Mtickets may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform signifies acceptance of the latest version.
